Ribosomal protein S3A pseudogene 4 (RPS3AP4) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome. It is derived from the parent gene encoding ribosomal protein S3A (RPS3A), which is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit essential for protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells[1][5][7][10]. As a pseudogene, RPS3AP4 is not believed to produce a functional protein and does not have demonstrated biological or therapeutic roles; instead, it represents a non-functional genomic fragment resulting from retrotransposition events[4][5][7]. There is no evidence that RPS3AP4 functions as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any type of therapeutic target, nor is there any known direct association with disease, biomarker use, or drug interaction.
