Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein S4X pseudogene 13 (RPS4XP13) is a processed pseudogene located in the human genome that resembles the RPS4X gene, which encodes ribosomal protein S4, X-linked—a structural protein of the ribosome involved in protein synthesis[7][9]. Unlike the functional RPS4X gene, RPS4XP13 does not encode a protein and has no known biological or disease role. Pseudogenes such as RPS4XP13 are frequent in the genome but are not used as drug targets, disease biomarkers, or receptors[6][9].
