Ribosomal Protein S6 Kinase (S6K) is a family of serine/threonine kinases crucial for regulating protein synthesis, cell growth, and metabolism. The most studied forms, S6K1 and S6K2, are activated by the mTORC1 pathway in response to growth factors, nutrients, and energy status.
