Target intelligence / Profile preview
Ribosomal protein S6 pseudogene 7 (RPS6P7) is one of numerous processed pseudogenes in the human genome that share sequence similarity with the functional ribosomal protein S6 gene (RPS6). Unlike RPS6, which encodes a critical component of the 40S ribosomal subunit essential for protein synthesis and cell growth[6][3], RPS6P7 is a non-functional genomic copy with no established coding or regulatory activity. There is no evidence that RPS6P7 codes for a protein, participates in biological processes, or plays a role in disease, drug interaction, or clinical biomarker applications[9][7][13].
