Ribosomal RNA from Atopobium vaginae most commonly refers to the 16S ribosomal RNA gene and its transcript, which are essential components of the bacterial ribosome. The 16S rRNA gene is highly conserved and used extensively in microbiological research and diagnostics for species identification.
