It is encoded by the RIMBP3B gene, with homologs and paralogs such as RIMBP3 involved in similar processes. Genetic alterations in this gene have been associated with rare conditions, but RIMBP3B is not considered a drug target and is not involved in common human pathologies or therapeutic interventions[3][5].
