Ring finger protein 19B pseudogene (ENSG00000274022) is a noncoding gene sequence that closely resembles the protein-coding gene RNF19B but contains sequence mutations rendering it nonfunctional as a protein. Like many pseudogenes, it may be transcribed at low levels, potentially giving rise to noncoding RNAs that could have regulatory functions—such as modulating the expression of its parental gene or participating in epigenetic silencing through generation of small RNAs. However, it is not known to encode any protein, and there is currently no evidence that it serves as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or participates directly in disease processes[1][3][4].
