Ring finger protein 19B pseudogene Y-linked (RNF19BPY) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene located on the Y chromosome. As a pseudogene, it is an inactive genetic element derived from a once-functional gene but now lacks the ability to code for a functional protein. Pseudogenes like RNF19BPY are sometimes transcribed as non-coding RNAs and may influence regulatory pathways, such as acting as RNA decoys or producing regulatory RNA involved in post-transcriptional gene regulation.
