RN7SK pseudogene 137 is a predicted pseudogene in the human genome with sequence similarity to the functional RN7SK gene, which produces the 7SK small nuclear RNA (7SK snRNA)[4]. Pseudogenes like RN7SKP137 typically do not produce functional transcripts or proteins and are not involved in canonical biological processes, molecular mechanisms, or disease pathways. There is no evidence in the biomedical literature that this pseudogene functions as a therapeutic or diagnostic target. Its naming reflects homology to RN7SK, an essential non-coding RNA scaffolding factor for the 7SK small nuclear ribonucleoprotein, but RN7SKP137 itself is not functional and has no known role in disease, normal biology, or pharmacology[4][6].
