RN7SK pseudogene 250 (RN7SKP250) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene related to the 7SK small nuclear RNA (RN7SK) family. Pseudogenes such as RN7SKP250 are generally considered to be genomic relics without an active biological or therapeutic function; they lack coding potential and are not involved in canonical signaling or enzymatic pathways. While parental RN7SK is important as a scaffold for the 7SK small nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex involved in negative regulation of transcription elongation by RNA polymerase II, there is no evidence that RN7SKP250 has a biological function, disease implication, or relevance as a therapeutic or drug target.
