RN7SK Pseudogene 275 (RN7SKP275) is a human pseudogene derived from the sequence of the functional 7SK small nuclear RNA gene. Unlike the functional 7SK RNA, which acts as a regulator of transcription elongation in association with the 7SK snRNP complex[4], RN7SKP275 does not produce a functional RNA or protein and has no established biological activity or therapeutic relevance. Its presence in the genome represents a non-functional remnant, possibly resulting from retrotransposition or duplication events. The sole disease association listed is with "Glioma Susceptibility 1," but there is no evidence this pseudogene plays a functional or causal role in disease[5].
