Overview

RN7SK pseudogene 29 (RN7SKP29) is a non-functional, processed pseudogene derived from the functional RN7SK gene, which encodes the 7SK small nuclear RNA. The original RN7SK plays a critical role in transcriptional regulation by controlling the positive transcription elongation factor P-TEFb and affects cell differentiation, proliferation, and gene expression regulation[1][2][3][4]. However, RN7SKP29 itself does not produce a functional RNA or protein, has no direct biological function, is not considered a therapeutic target, and has no established involvement in human disease.
