RN7SK pseudogene 31 (RN7SKP31) is a processed pseudogene found in the human genome that resembles the functional RN7SK gene but lacks the ability to code for functional RNA. RN7SKP31 is located on chromosome X and has been annotated through sequence similarity and genomic mapping, but there is no evidence it impacts cellular processes, encodes protein, or is relevant to disease or therapy[2][6]. This distinguishes it from RN7SK, the functional small nuclear RNA involved in transcription regulation, immune response modulation, and other biological functions[1][4][5]. RN7SKP31 is not considered a therapeutic target and is not involved in receptor, enzyme, transporter, transcription factor, or other target classes in pharmacology or clinical biomarker research[2][6].
