RN7SK pseudogene 48 (RN7SKP48) is a predicted noncoding RNA pseudogene in the human genome. It has sequence similarity to the RN7SK gene, which encodes the 7SK small nuclear RNA, a component of the 7SK small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) complex that regulates transcription elongation by RNA polymerase II. However, as a pseudogene, RN7SKP48 does not produce a functional RNA product and is not known to participate in any biological pathway or disease process. There is currently no evidence suggesting that RN7SKP48 is a drug target or has any therapeutic relevance.
