RNA, 5S ribosomal pseudogene 24 (RNA5SP24) is a noncoding RNA annotated as a pseudogene related to the 5S ribosomal RNA gene family. It is expressed in multiple tissues but does not encode a functional protein, and there is currently no evidence in the literature of its direct involvement as a therapeutic target. Pseudogenes such as RNA5SP24 can sometimes exert regulatory roles via RNA-based mechanisms, including modulation of microRNA activity or potential involvement in RNA interference, yet no direct roles for RNA5SP24 itself have been established.
