RNA, 5S ribosomal pseudogene 393 is a processed pseudogene derived from the 5S ribosomal RNA gene family. 5S rRNA itself is a conserved, 120-nucleotide noncoding RNA that forms part of the large ribosomal subunit in eukaryotes and plays a structural and functional role in protein synthesis, linking different functional centers of the ribosome[1][3][5].
