RN7SK pseudogene 9 (RN7SKP9) is a genomic sequence annotated as a pseudogene of the RNA, 7SK small nuclear RNA (RN7SK). RN7SK itself is a highly conserved, ubiquitously expressed small nuclear noncoding RNA transcribed by RNA polymerase III, which acts as a scaffold for the 7SK small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) complex, regulating transcription elongation by RNA polymerase II through its interaction with P-TEFb and other factors[1][2][3][4]. RN7SK plays functional roles in cell differentiation, proliferation, and senescence and is involved in innate immune functions, particularly in macrophage polarization and phagocytosis[1][2][4]. However, RN7SKP9 refers specifically to a *pseudogene*—a non-functional copy of the RN7SK gene—with no established biological activity, disease relevance, or drug interactions. There is currently no evidence that RN7SKP9 codes for a functional RNA, protein, or acts as a molecular target in therapy or research.
