RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 19, pseudogene (RN7SL19P) is a human genomic DNA sequence classified as a pseudogene, derived from the functional 7SL RNA gene involved in the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex, which mediates cotranslational protein targeting to the endoplasmic reticulum[1][3][5]. Unlike the functional RN7SL genes (e.g., RN7SL1), RN7SL19P appears to be a truncated, mutated, or otherwise inactive copy that does not produce a functional RNA or contribute to SRP activity.
