It does not encode a protein and does not participate in the canonical functions of 7SL RNA or the signal recognition particle. Pseudogenes in general may sometimes regulate expression of related RNAs or act as miRNA decoys, but no such activity is documented for RN7SL275P. RN7SL275P is a noncoding RNA pseudogene, not a functional receptor or drug target.
