Overview

RN7SL275P is a truncated, nonfunctional genomic copy (pseudogene) of 7SL RNA, located on chromosome 4 (110,117,736-110,118,070). Like other 7SL RNA pseudogenes, it is likely derived by reverse transcription and integration into the genome, often missing critical sequences and regulatory regions, rendering it transcriptionally inactive. It does not encode a protein and does not participate in the canonical functions of 7SL RNA or the signal recognition particle. Pseudogenes in general may sometimes regulate expression of related RNAs or act as miRNA decoys, but no such activity is documented for RN7SL275P. RN7SL275P is a noncoding RNA pseudogene, not a functional receptor or drug target. There is nothing to suggest it is misspelled, but categorizing it as a therapeutic target or functional receptor is incorrect. No specific biological, disease, or therapeutic relevance is described for this particular pseudogene.
