RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 554, pseudogene (RN7SL554P) is a human pseudogene—an inactive, noncoding RNA sequence similar to the active 7SL RNA gene, which encodes the RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP)[1][6][8]. The 7SL RNA is essential for protein targeting in cells as part of the SRP complex, but pseudogenes such as RN7SL554P do not produce functional RNA or protein and have no known biological or therapeutic function[7][8]. RN7SL pseudogenes are highly abundant in the genome and are believed to result from the reverse transcription of 7SL RNA back into genomic DNA. These pseudogenes are not considered valid drug targets, molecular receptors, or therapeutic targets since they have no confirmed function and are generally not expressed[7][8]. Therefore, RN7SL554P is not a functional biological target and has no established disease relevance, molecular function, or interaction profile.
