RN7SL610P is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 2 and is classified as a non-coding RNA gene reminiscent of the functional 7SL RNA gene, a core component of the cytoplasmic signal recognition particle (SRP) complex. While the functional 7SL RNA directs protein targeting and secretion within the cell, RN7SL610P is a truncated, non-functional genomic fragment thought to originate from reverse transcription and insertion of the 7SL RNA. There is no current evidence that RN7SL610P is transcribed into a functional RNA or implicated in disease, drug interaction, or signaling. It serves primarily as a genomic artifact with homology to active SRP RNA genes and has no established role as a receptor, enzyme, or therapeutic target.
