However, RN7SL752P is annotated as a pseudogene, meaning it does not produce a functional product and does not participate in canonical SRP-related or regulatory biological activities[1][4][6]. As such, it is not considered a therapeutic or biological target, nor does it have associated molecular functions, drugs, or disease roles. 7SL RNA pseudogenes are found throughout the human genome as result of retrotransposition or duplication events[7][2], but they do not encode active RNA or protein products. There is no recognized error in spelling or naming, but this gene is a pseudogene, thus not an actionable target for therapies or disease mechanisms. Functional 7SL RNA (not the pseudogene) is required for cell physiology as part of the SRP complex, but this does *not* apply to RN7SL752P, which lacks function[3][5].
