The RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 812, pseudogene (RN7SL812P) is a human pseudogene derived from the 7SL RNA gene sequence, which itself codes for the RNA component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) involved in intracellular protein targeting[1][5][6]. RN7SL pseudogenes are generally non-functional genetic elements present as truncated and/or mutated versions of the original 7SL RNA gene, dispersed in the human genome likely by retrotransposition. Most lack transcriptional activity or functional products, and RN7SL812P is not known to participate in any biological or pathological processes. No disease associations, drug interactions, therapeutic targets, or biomarker utilities have been established for RN7SL812P specifically[1][5][6].
