RN7SL82P is a pseudogene of the *RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic* family, annotated as “RNA, 7SL, cytoplasmic 82, pseudogene”. Pseudogenes of this family are non-coding DNA sequences similar to the functional 7SL RNA gene (which encodes the RNA component of the signal recognition particle, SRP), but they are generally considered non-functional due to mutations that prevent their expression or function as RNA[1][5][8][10]. The 7SL RNA is an essential component of the SRP complex that guides secretory proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum during translation[7]. However, as a pseudogene, RN7SL82P does not produce functional 7SL RNA and is not involved in SRP function or any known biological process. There is no evidence implicating RN7SL82P as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or participant in disease, nor is it associated with any drug interactions or safety concerns[1][5][8][10].
