RNY3 pseudogene 13 (RNY3P13) is a non-coding RNA pseudogene in the human genome, located on chromosome 3 (chr3:129818932-129819033, hg38)[5]. As a pseudogene derived from the Y RNA family, it shares sequence similarity with the functional RNY3 gene, but is presumed to lack protein-coding ability and canonical Y RNA function. There is no evidence that RNY3P13 encodes a functional RNA species with defined cellular or pathological significance. While functional Y RNAs (such as RNY3) participate in processes like DNA replication, cell proliferation, and immune signaling (notably IL-13 regulation in T cell lines)[1][3], there is no published functional data for RNY3P13. Like other pseudogenes, it might potentially act as a molecular sponge for microRNAs or interact with RNA-binding proteins, but no experimental validation exists for these activities in RNY3P13[2]. RNY3P13 is thus not considered a direct therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, or known mediator in human disease.
