RNU1-51P (RNA, U1 small nuclear 51, pseudogene) is a non-functional genomic element classified as a pseudogene and annotated in human genomic databases. It shares sequence similarity with active U1 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) genes, which are essential components of the spliceosome complex and involved in pre-mRNA splicing. Unlike its functional counterparts, RNU1-51P does not produce a functional RNA and is not known to participate in splicing or any other biological processes.
