Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNU5B-6P (RNA, U5B small nuclear 6, pseudogene) is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 10q25.1 and classified as a small nuclear RNA (snRNA) pseudogene. Unlike canonical snRNAs involved in the spliceosome (particularly U5), RNU5B-6P does not produce a functional transcript and is not believed to participate in splicing or other cellular processes. It is distinguished from functional paralogs such as RNU5B-1, which when mutated have been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders. As a pseudogene, RNU5B-6P itself is not a therapeutic target, does not play an active biological role, and has no established links to disease or pharmacology.
Not applicable. No drugs target this pseudogene.
