These pseudogenes do not participate in spliceosomal activity, do not produce proteins or regulatory RNAs, and have no known impact on physiological or disease processes[2][5]. Their presence in the genome is often used as an indicator of retrotransposition history but holds no therapeutic, diagnostic, or biomarker relevance[5]. In summary: RNU6-1008P is *not* a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or any form of druggable target, but rather a nonfunctional pseudogene derived from the U6 snRNA gene[2][5].
