Unlike the functional U6 snRNA, which is an essential component of the spliceosome catalyzing intron removal in pre-mRNA splicing[1][3], pseudogenes like RNU6-1043P result from retrotransposition events and do not encode functional RNAs or proteins[5][7]. Such pseudogenes are highly conserved, present in multiple copies in vertebrate genomes, and may serve as markers for retrotransposition dynamics and genome evolution but lack known biological, pharmacological, or disease association as typical *targets*[7][5].
