RNA, U6 small nuclear 1097, pseudogene (RNU6-1097P) is a non-coding RNA-locus annotated as a pseudogene of the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family, located on chromosome 7 (7q22.1, 44,503,773-44,503,879 in GRCh38). Unlike functional small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) involved in splicing and RNA processing, pseudogenes like RNU6-1097P are products of genomic duplication or mutation and lack protein-coding potential or a known biological function. Pseudogenes may be transcribed but generally do not produce functional RNA or protein. There is no established therapeutic or biomarker role for RNU6-1097P; its clinical relevance is currently limited to possible use in genetic or transcriptomic studies and annotation efforts, not direct targeting by drugs or diagnostics
