RNA, U6 small nuclear 1129, pseudogene (RNU6-1129P) is a pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene family. U6 snRNA is a critical non-coding RNA component of the spliceosome, which is essential for pre-mRNA splicing in eukaryotic cells[1][3]. However, RNU6-1129P is a pseudogene, meaning it is a nonfunctional segment of DNA resembling a functional gene but lacking the capacity to encode a functional RNA or protein product[2][4]. U6 snRNA pseudogenes are numerous in vertebrate genomes as evolutionary remnants and are not classified as therapeutic targets, enzymes, receptors, or functional regulatory molecules. There is currently no evidence of RNU6-1129P having biological function, disease association, or drug interactions.
