RNA, U6 small nuclear 1193, pseudogene (RNU6-1193P) is a human genomic locus classified as a pseudogene copy of U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA). Unlike active U6 snRNA genes, which play a critical role in pre-mRNA splicing through the spliceosomal complex, pseudogenes do not encode functional products and are considered non-functional remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition events. RNU6-1193P does not contribute to known biological processes, is not expressed as a functional RNA, and has no established role as a therapeutic target or biomarker. However, genomic studies suggest pseudogenes like RNU6-1193P can be biological markers reflecting LINE-1 retrotransposition dynamics in mammalian genomes[4]. No evidence supports a disease or pharmacological role for this gene.
