While functional U6 snRNAs are highly conserved and critical for RNA splicing, pseudogenes like RNU6-1236P may participate in gene regulation through various mechanisms, such as competing endogenous RNA activity (ceRNA) or acting as microRNA decoys, but there is no specific evidence for such functions for RNU6-1236P in the current literature[2][1][3].
