RNA, U6 small nuclear 1244, pseudogene (RNU6-1244P) is a noncoding RNA gene in humans classified as a pseudogene, meaning it is a non-functional copy of genes coding for U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA). U6 snRNA is a key component of the spliceosome, but RNU6-1244P itself does not produce a functional RNA and has not been demonstrated to play a direct biological or disease-related role. As with other pseudogenes, there is theoretical potential for regulatory influence by acting as miRNA decoys or through epigenetic effects, but specific functions for RNU6-1244P have not been reported in scientific literature to date. There are no reported drug interactions, biomarker uses, or safety concerns associated with RNU6-1244P. Its designation and molecular family are well-documented and correct, but its biological and medical relevance is minimal.
