U6 snRNA pseudogenes, such as RNU6-1267P, are formed through retrotransposition and serve as genomic markers of retrotransposition activity, but they do not appear to contribute to normal cellular or pathological processes[8]. As a pseudogene, RNU6-1267P has no established therapeutic or biomarker role, no known protein product, and no known disease associations. There are no drugs that target this locus, nor is there a known mechanism of action for molecules acting on this gene[5][6][8]. Note: - While genuine U6 small nuclear RNA is crucial for splicing, RNU6-1267P is not a functional RNA and is not a therapeutic target. - Its identification is of genomic and evolutionary interest but not clinical or pharmacological significance[8].
