Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNA, U6 small nuclear 1324, pseudogene (RNU6-1324P) is a human pseudogene corresponding to a nonfunctional copy of the U6 small nuclear RNA gene. U6 snRNA is typically involved in the spliceosome for pre-mRNA splicing, but pseudogene copies such as RNU6-1324P do not produce functional RNA and are generally transcriptionally silent. This locus is annotated as a pseudogene due to sequence similarity and structural features such as direct repeats, but it does not participate in canonical snRNA functions. There are no established biological, pathological, or pharmacological roles for this gene
