Small nuclear RNAs like U6 normally participate in the spliceosomal removal of introns from pre-mRNA, but processed pseudogenes such as RNU6-1326P are inactive genetic remnants generated by retrotransposition mechanisms that lack regulatory or coding function[2][3]. They do not encode proteins, do not incorporate into the spliceosome, and typically have no role in normal cell biology or disease[2][3][4].
