U6 snRNA is an essential component of the spliceosome, responsible for catalyzing pre-mRNA splicing in eukaryotic cells. However, RNU6-220P itself is classified as a pseudogene, meaning it is thought to be non-functional and generally does not encode a functional RNA or protein product. There is no evidence in the current literature that RNU6-220P has a biological role, is involved in disease, or serves as a therapeutic target.
