Overview

RNA, U6 small nuclear 267, pseudogene (RNU6-267P) is a pseudogene of the U6 small nuclear RNA family[1][4]. Pseudogenes are genomic sequences similar to known genes but are generally non-functional due to accumulated mutations or inability to be properly expressed. U6 small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) themselves are essential components of the spliceosome, playing a critical role in pre-mRNA splicing by facilitating the removal of introns from pre-mRNA transcripts[3]. However, as a pseudogene, RNU6-267P is presumed not to produce a functional RNA or protein product and does not participate in canonical spliceosomal activities[1][4]. There is no evidence that RNU6-267P functions as a therapeutic target, nor are there known disease associations, relevant biomarkers, interacting drugs, or established biological roles. Summary: - RNU6-267P is a non-coding RNA pseudogene, not known to be involved in disease, drug interactions, or to have a functional role in cell biology, and is not considered a therapeutic target[1][4].
