While some pseudogenes can be transcribed and might perform regulatory functions, there is no evidence for RNU6-286P functioning as a gene regulator, biomarker, or drug target[3][4]. Its presence mainly reflects evolutionary processes shaping the human genome and expanding non-coding RNA diversity[1][3][4].
