Overview

RNA, U6 small nuclear 393, pseudogene (RNU6-393P) is a pseudogene related to U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) family but does not produce a functional snRNA or protein. U6 snRNA itself is a critical component of the spliceosome, the molecular machinery responsible for removing introns from pre-mRNA during mRNA processing in eukaryotes[1][3]. Pseudogenes such as RNU6-393P are generally non-coding and typically do not have known direct biological or disease-related functions, nor are they recognized as therapeutic targets[4]. They may be present in the genome as non-functional copies derived from the corresponding functional gene[3][4]. The term "393" designates one of many loci where such pseudogenic sequences can occur. There is no evidence that RNU6-393P acts as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other typical drug target protein. If you need information on the functional U6 snRNA or the general family of these RNAs, please specify.
