Overview

RNU6-441P, or "RNA, U6 small nuclear 441, pseudogene," is a pseudogene corresponding to the U6 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) family. U6 snRNA is an essential component of the spliceosome, which is involved in the removal of introns from pre-mRNA via splicing in eukaryotic nuclei. However, RNU6-441P itself is a nonfunctional, non-coding RNA gene copy—classified as a pseudogene—generated through retrotransposition or other duplication mechanisms and does not code for a functional RNA molecule. It does not have a known biological function, disease association, therapeutic targeting relevance, or established use as a biomarker. Multiple copies of U6 snRNA pseudogenes are present in the human genome and serve, at best, as markers of retrotransposition activity in genomic studies. Summary of correctness: RNU6-441P is not a therapeutic target, but a processed non-functional pseudogene. Listing it as a druggable or disease-relevant target would be incorrect. The entry is a valid locus but not a functional or receptor target of pharmacological interest.
