Target intelligence / Profile preview
RNA, U6 small nuclear 603, pseudogene (RNU6-603P) is a human pseudogene corresponding to the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family. U6 small nuclear RNA itself is an essential component of the spliceosome, crucial for mRNA splicing in eukaryotes; however, pseudogenes such as RNU6-603P do not encode functional RNA products and are typically transcriptionally inactive[1][4][8]. RNU6-603P thus does not play an active or direct biological role, nor is it considered a therapeutic target. It is one of many U6 pseudogenes dispersed throughout the genome, reflecting evolutionary redundancy for this RNA family[2][8].
