RNA, U6 small nuclear 821, pseudogene (RNU6-821P) is annotated as a non-functional copied remnant (“pseudogene”) of the gene encoding U6 small nuclear RNA, which is a key non-coding RNA component of spliceosomal complexes required for pre-mRNA splicing. Pseudogenes like RNU6-821P do not encode functional RNA or protein products and are not known to have direct biological activity or clinical relevance as therapeutic targets, though some pseudogenes (in other families) may regulate gene expression through RNA-mediated mechanisms. There is no evidence that RNU6-821P is involved in disease, is targeted by any drugs, or serves as a biomarker.
