RNU6-919P, officially named "RNA, U6 small nuclear 919, pseudogene," is an annotated human pseudogene derived from the U6 small nuclear RNA gene family. The U6 snRNA is a critical catalytic RNA involved in pre-mRNA splicing within the spliceosome, but RNU6-919P itself does not encode a functional transcript or protein and is not involved in splicing or any other active cellular processes. Like many snRNA-derived pseudogenes, RNU6-919P is likely a non-expressed, evolutionarily retained genomic remnant. There is currently no evidence of disease relevance, druggability, or use as a biomarker.
