RBM39 (RNA binding motif protein 39) is a nuclear RNA-binding protein that functions primarily as a splicing factor and transcriptional coactivator. It is involved in the regulation of alternative pre-mRNA splicing and modulates transcript levels, impacting gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. Aberrant function or degradation of RBM39 leads to widespread changes in alternative splicing patterns and has emerged as an important target in cancer biology.
Promotes interaction between RBM39 and the DCAF15-associated E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, resulting in selective proteasomal degradation of RBM39.
