Overview

RNA binding motif protein 41 (RBM41) is a protein encoded by the RBM41 gene in humans and is predicted to have U12 snRNA binding activity and pre-mRNA intronic binding activity[1][3][5][7][8]. It is involved in mRNA splicing via the spliceosome, likely as a part of the U12-type spliceosomal complex[1][3][5][7][8]. RBM41 belongs to the broad family of RNA-binding proteins, many of which regulate diverse RNA processing functions through specific RNA–protein interactions, but there is limited evidence for RBM41 as a therapeutic target or its direct involvement in disease, and no drugs are currently known to interact with it[1][3][6][7][8].
