RNA binding motif protein Y-linked family 2 member Q, pseudogene (RBMY2QP) is a recognized pseudogene present on the Y chromosome in humans[10][11]. It does not code for a functional protein, distinguishing it from protein-coding family members. While the broader RBMY gene family is implicated in spermatogenesis and RNA binding, RBMY2QP itself is classified as a pseudogene and lacks canonical gene function[10][11].
