RNA polymerase I transcription factor homolog pseudogene 1 (RRN3P1) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene in humans, predicted to share sequence similarity with the RRN3 transcription factor, which assists in the initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase I[1][2][10]. RRN3P1 is not known to produce a functional product in humans and is most useful for comparative genomics or understanding regulatory noncoding RNA elements. Unlike the functional RRN3 gene, which is involved in ribosomal RNA synthesis and associated with some diseases, RRN3P1 has no known clinical significance, therapeutic relevance, or drug interactions. Most databases classify RRN3P1 among pseudogenes, and there is no evidence supporting its targeting in therapy or diagnostics[1][2][6][10].
