RNA processing enzymes are a diverse group of proteins responsible for the maturation, modification, and degradation of RNA molecules after their initial synthesis from DNA. These enzymes play essential roles in gene expression by ensuring that RNA transcripts are properly processed into functional forms such as messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and ribosomal RNA (rRNA).
